We at United Medical Providers, like everyone, are very concerned about the Coronavirus crisis and how it has changed all of our lives so quickly. We also realize that our patients cannot do without their supplies, and we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that product delivery and service is continuous and uninterrupted.  Our office is following all CDC guidelines, with a limited number of employees in our building and the remaining employees working from home in order to take care of our customers.  UMP wants to reassure you that from all current indications our supply line and delivery services are not in jeopardy or compromised in any way.  Below are answers to some frequently asked questions:
 
Do I need to buy extra catheters just in case?
No – we have been assured by our manufacturers that there is an ample supply of catheters on hand and manufacturing has not been interrupted.  If you would rather not rely on your insurance coverage and wish to purchase a back up supply, please contact us.
 
Could my supplies be contaminated by the virus?
The manufacturing process does not expose the product to contamination, and it is our understanding that the distribution and delivery companies are all following CDC guidelines.  The supplies you receive from UMP should not be able to actively carry any virus, but it is still a good idea to practice proper hygiene such as washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water or using hand sanitizer after handling a package from outside your home.
 
Can I still receive samples at my urology office or home?
Yes – simply contact your sales representative or contact our office for your needs.  We are keeping normal business hours with a 24/7 answering service.
